I remember hearing about Randy Pausch either from Oprah or a on the news. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and told he had maybe 6 months to live. His farewell lecture was given to a standing ovation. Even with his last lecture he was still able to inspire not only his students but many ordinary people who have been able to see his lecture on the internet. His story is inspiring… He is still doing well and posts updates on his site on his health. I had never been able to see the entire lecture and finally I came across it on youtube. I would encourage you to take the time and to watch it. You won’t regret it…

You know when sometimes your dog begs you for something you are eating (human food), think twice! Some foods that we, as humans, enjoy are lethal to dogs! Some may have already heard that chocolate is lethal to dogs, but there are other foods too. A very nicely presented article from National Geographic lists the following foods as lethal to dogs:
- onions
- alcohol
- grapes
- garlic
- macadamia nuts
- chocolate
- coffee
- yeast
Chocolate contains a naturally occurring stimulant found in cocoa beans called theobromine, which depending on the dog breed can be lethal. It causes vomiting, seizures, heart problems and can cause death in dogs. National Geographic presents a chart that shows how much chocolate is too much for a dog depending on the type of chocolate and the weight of the dog!

So far this is my best discovery yet, although it pretty late – past midnight I have to post this! I love listening to music and making my own mixes but sometimes I’m looking for that perfect song and can’t find it… but now with musicovery I am in heaven! The first song that played is one that I have heard many times but had no idea who the artist was and now I know! There is this little screen that shows the name of the artist as well as the name of the song, and the song I have been looking for the title is “Missing” by Everything but a Girl. It even has an option that explores the last songs that were played…
